Meet Glenn Sullivan

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce my firm, Ready Scout, LLC.  After 22 years as General Manager and subsequent Owner of Allied Biological, Inc., and another 8 years as New York Project Manager for Solitude Lake Management, I have now determined that I can provide a select group of lakes a better quality of lake management services than the larger firms currently offer.

I graduated Rutgers University with a degree in Environmental Studies and started in the lake management business in 1993 as a biologist for Allied Biological of NJ. After spending five years in the field conducting water quality sampling and lake management applications, I took over as General Manager, and later purchased the company. As owner,  I expanded the company’s reach by opening an office in central NY. In 2015, then selling Allied Biological to a group of investors which eventually became Solitude Lake Management.I continued with Solitude Lake Management as a NY Project Manager and Regulatory Affairs Specialist until leaving the firm in late 2023 to start Ready Scout LLC.

I will be focusing primarily on lake management consulting and permitting (including wetland permitting) in upstate New York, Northern NJ and Ontario and continue to offer aquatic herbicide, algaecide and nutrient inactivation applications when appropriate. With a more focused group of clients, I also have increased time to assist with Grant applications, RFP writing and review, and Lake Management Plans.

In addition to contracted projects, I continue to be active in the Aquatics field, serving as President of the New York State Aquatic Managers Association, maintaining my NALMS Certified Lake Manager designation, and remaining active in the Northeast Aquatic Plant Management Society and the New York State Federation of Lake Associations.
